Build from Within Alliance (BfWA) is a network of 20 community development organizations connecting over 6,000 BIPOC entrepreneurs and micro/small businesses to resources to revitalize their own neighborhood economies from within.• Co-manage network development, peer learning and member support including annual convenings, quarterly community of practice calls, technical assistance, and implementation of national tools to help members scale• Lead data collection and evaluation, including social wellbeing indices in partnership with Reinvestment Fund• Manage resource and fund development for our national network – raised over $2.75M in grants

• Led 3-person team in analysis of 15+ expert interviews, 25 research papers, and several customer surveys to develop for the FCAC an assessment guide and execution strategy that leverages behavioural insights to improve how financial institutions interact with customers• Assessed impact of Canada’s new food guide on food system in partnership with Desautels faculty of Management

• Created Global Detroit’s first Sponsorship Package and Corporate Outreach action plan through implementing a collaborative approach with leadership staff and Board of Directors • Standardized Global Detroit’s organizational language by creating customized narrative that reflects core mission and vision to improve quality of group’s funding applications; applied for over $1 million and secured over $500,000

• Advocated for and sold local Chamber of Commerce (CenterState group) on idea of incorporating economic inclusion into their regional business strategy; managed transition of a closely-knit 8-member team into one of 4 major divisions• Organized and chaired quarterly staff retreats, creating alignment and improving communication and collaboration; applied a design thinking approach and boosted productivity and focus by implementing a project tracking tool• Identified importance of and co-organized a Welcoming Economies Convening with 350+ attendees; obtained venues, raised sponsorship funds, secured panelists and speakers, and organized sessions and community tours

• Wrote grant and public contract applications and negotiated corporate investment from regional and national organizations, securing over $500,000 for Up Start and $1.5 million for the Clean Tech Center • Co-founded Up Start, coaching 50 marginalized entrepreneurs as well as 15 Clean Tech Center clients on business plan writing, fundraising strategy, and product development, helping companies earn revenue over $7 million

• Oversaw financials of community center with 10+ employees and $500,000+ budget through leadership change

• Served as secretary, and led $400,000+ organization through strategic plan and organizational re-visioning

• Interviewed 30 business executives and conducted quantitative research to author 3 regional economic reports

• Won $5,000 award through Raymond Von Dran IDEA Business Competition• Managed 15 Syracuse students and created a community outreach program for 50 Congolese community members

• Directed 30 students in creating advocacy and fundraising events including organizing a simulation exercise that engaged 50+ students a semester to learn about the complexities that lead to and perpetuate mass atrocities
