Weld and braze inspection.Involvement in repeatability and reproducibility (gauge R&R) studies and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's).I was responsible for calibration control; ensuring all inspection equipment is kept in control and sent for calibration. This includes following the company calibration procedure when new items are purchased and processing calibration control documents.Handling certificates of conformance documents for aerospace materials which are brought into the department and generating batch codes before the material is issued to stores.

My first 4 years at Rolls-Royce were spent doing on the job training with one day a week at college in order to complete my Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (CNC machining). It was during this time I completed my Higher National Certificate, BTEC Diploma, NVQ level 3, NVQ level 2 and my key skills qualifications. Working in a large state-of-the-art CNC machining and castings facility I learnt about the manufacturing techniques, processes, operating procedures and some of methodologies used to create a lean manufacturing supply chain unit.
