In this role I lead the business analysis work within a feature and platform team delivering initiatives that form part of the Aviva UK and Global Portfolios.I adapt and work across multiple teams in multiple locations (onshore and offshore) to ensure the right quality outcomes are delivered at the right time. Key responsibilities in this role include:-• Ensuring key business goals are understood and requirements are defined in conjunction with the Product Owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to enable the solutions to be developed by the MyAviva scrum team.• Working with User Experience and Solution Design, development and test colleagues to ensure quality business solutions that meet the needs of the business are developed.• Lead, participate and contribute to the Scrum ceremonies.• Supporting initiatives through an iterative development/testing lifecycle including implementation.• Ensuring focus and on-going challenge around the scope and associated business case of each piece of work taking into consideration the MVP and the requirement to meet benefit targets.• Understanding the strategy, customer outcomes and business case for the initiative and challenging constructively where these are not being met.• Being heavily involved in discovery work assessing the impact of new initiatives across the Digital estate and working with lead developers to provide high level initial estimates for the work required to allow effective planning.• Considering the needs of the customer and challenge constructively decisions that are not in their best interests as defined by our customer ambition and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).• Broad understanding of other change initiatives, recognise dependencies and identify where business benefit can be realised through change synergies.• Leading and developing other Business Analysts providing coaching and mentoring.• Applying business analysis best practice & look to identify new ways of doing things.

As a Digital Business Analyst I am responsible for the development and on going definition of viable business requirements, (user stories/acceptance criteria) and non functional requirements. I play a key role within the Agile feature team to ensure the expected business outcomes are delivered in an Agile way. I ensure business goals are understood and requirements, user stories & acceptance criteria are documented in conjunction with Product Owners, to enable solutions to be defined by the scrum team. I work collaboratively with design, development & test colleagues in order to ensure that solutions address the requirements of the business.

In this role i worked on the Transformation project and I was responsible for leading a number of process re-design projects to improve internal processes, changes to these processes benefit both the Customer and Aviva’s front line staff. This project is an Agile one, I have a strong understanding of the Agile methodologies and I am able to use these on a daily basis to ensure successful running and delivery of the project. Previous to working on this project I have I had worked on a number of high profile projects within Aviva, using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. The most recent projects I have been the Change Lead on are the Auto Enrolment Project and the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) project. I have an in depth knowledge and understanding of both Auto-Enrolment and RDR regulations as well as the systems and processes Aviva have introduced to enable us to comply with the changes in regulation introduced by the government.In my role generally I am responsible for creating value for all customers through change management & leading change projects to get the best outcome for the customer, preventing the introduction of new failure demand and waste and providing expertise and support for the system to “pull” on. I have proven my ability to both support change management from start to finish and also to lead a range of different change projects and perform a number of different roles within an Agile feature team.

I improved the functionality of the system using my excellent knowledge of Aviva UKL products, services and systems and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Market. This includes both foundation and advanced levels of Service Academy (a joint venture between NUL and the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)). I worked proactively and used my own initiative to develop the structure and content of the knowledge management system, working closely with customer advisers to ensure that it met their needs.
