Write, edit and commission features for Men's Health's site – I've published pieces on everything from dads suffering with birth trauma to the Pillow Fighting Championship and from Black men and prostate cancer to Trans barbershops. Part of my job is also identifying and commissioning writers who have never written for Men's Health before. I've done this several times with writers who have since gone on to write more for us and other Hearst titles.Leading on social media – For any feature that I write or commission, I lead on the social strategy too, using Instagram and Twitter Moments to get features to as many people as possible. I have also managed Men's Health's social output, increasing Instagram video views by 230%, new followers by 660% and engagements by 125% in a three-month period.Video ideation, creation and presenting – I work with our video team to create videos, as well as identify and recruit talent to star in them. Videos I've created include 'Men's Health Versus', which was informally called 'Dan Does', and saw me trying out everything from American football to Timbersports. I've also brought a number of starts into our 'How I Build My Body' franchise including Drew McIntyre (1.2 million views) and Bugzy Malone (144k views).SEO and ecommerce strategy – I write and edit SEO pieces, which are identified using SEMrush. I also work on our ecommerce articles and manage our approach to big shopping events, such as Prime Day and Black Friday, liaising with our affiliate, social media and ecommerce teams.Managing Men's Health's weekly newsletter – I write, edit and build MH UK's weekly newsletter, which is delivered to a six-figure subscriber base.Working with commercial teams and clients – I write branded content for clients including NOW, Very, Hiscox and Dove, making sure these pieces work for the clients and are in keeping with MH's tone of voice.
