After three years of studying through Plymouth University, I acquired an FdSc degree in Computing, Networking & Software Development followed by a BSc (Hons) degree in Computing Technologies. My university dissertations held a primary focus on information and network security and it was the completion of these projects that led me to develop a passion for Cybersecurity, which I am determined to pursue. After finishing my degree I went on to complete a Cybersecurity bootcamp which taught the fundamentals of IT security and risk management. After this I attended a Cybersecurity expo which allowed me to network with similar minded people and gain a better understanding of the different fields in the Cybersecurity industry. I am now actively working towards achieving both the CompTIA Security+ and the CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst+ certifications. Additionally, I am learning new skills and challenges through the use of platforms such as TryHackMe and Hack The Box, both of which have allowed me to greatly expand my knowledge and skillset in this field.
