Lead research scientist at Croda working in the long-term innovation team on sustainable polymers. This role includes working across interdisciplinary business functions internally and external collaborations with universities and other companies. I also directly line manage industrial placement students throughout their research project at Croda.I have a lot of experience in sustainable polymer chemistry, formulation science and collaboration between institutions. My career in research started with an undergraduate placement at Scott Bader, followed by a PhD in soft matter at Durham University sponsored by Synthomer and Croda. From there, I went on to work at the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence, University of York on the CHAMPION project with Unilever, Scott Bader, Stahl and Orineo. I have a broad understanding of polymer chemistry and am highly motivated by incorporating sustainability and green chemistry into my research. I have also supervised many students on projects within the field of green polymer synthesis for industrial applications.
