Ensure that department targets and actions contribute to the SDP. To lead Science timetabling: Allocate all classes and rooms to teachers. To lead assistant curriculum leaders to monitor performance of key groups at KS3 and KS4: eg. Boys/girls/borderlines/SEND/LAC/FSM. Work with Trust Director of Science, Assistant Curriculum Leader KS4 and Assistant Curriculum Leader KS3 to plan for and oversee a framework of internal assessment which gives a clear measure of progress and which can be used to inform reporting. To lead the implementation of all science-based policies such as; marking, behaviour for learning and oracy. To lead the scheduling of events throughout the year through delegation of assistant curriculum leaders. e.g., Intervention, revision classes, house events, etc. Ensure all lessons are covered appropriately in the absence of any teachers.
