I am a 1992 graduate of Madison County High School. I have an Associates Degree in Computer Design Technology from Snead State Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Athens State University.I worked for the Huntsville Police Department from 1996 through 2020. I served for 8 years as a patrol officer and for over 16 years as a Police Sergeant. I supervised officers on all 3 shifts. I also supervised the Bike Patrol Unit, the Mobile Field Force (Riot Squad), the Property Crimes Unit (Burglary/Auto Theft/B&E to Auto Investigations), and the Financial Crimes Unit.During my Law Enforcement career, I received numerous commendations, a Life Saving Medal and was named Supervisor of the Year on 3 occasions. I retired from the Huntsville Police Department on July 31, 2020.I am currently the Lead Security Manager at Hedge Security Solutions. I am CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) certified with the Professional Designation. I am also a certified instructor in ALIVE Active Shooter Survival Training.
