Currently involved in the build and test of Vertical aerospace EVTOL aircraft, fitting and testing electrical looms and components. Also supporting flight test campaign and routine maintenance of the aircraft.Previously had 20 years as an aircraft mechanic for British airways and Qantas. Working mainly in heavy maintenance of wide bodied aircraft. This has involved routine maintenance of electrical and electronic systems, the installation of modifications and their testing.I have extensive experience of fault finding electrical systems and wiring and rectification of aircraft systems. Preparing aircraft systems for compliance checks by internal and external inspectors. As my initial aircraft maintenance training was multi disciplined, I have also gained experience with the mechanical side of the aircraft. I also have been running small sub teams during aircraft inputs, enabling my team leader to focus on other areas. This has enabled me to be a subject matter expert in the modification being implemented and I have enjoyed helping other teams in the business when they encounter difficulties.
