At Longevity Sports Center I was able to run a baseball program for children ages two to seven. The program was called Lil’ Sluggers. It is a child development program designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of baseball. In this role, communicating with parents was just as vital as teaching the kids. Coaching was such a fulfilling experience.

My job as the sustainability coordinator at UNLV is to research sustainable practices for the student union. This includes raising awareness through posters and newsletters, working with the Rebel Recycling Program to investigate how much waste the student union is creating, and help UNLV participate in “green” events such as “Race to Zero Waste.”

As an insurance representative with Northwestern Mutual I was able to acquire my Nevada life, accident and health insurance license as well as gain the experience necessary to successfully sell insurance. Northwestern Mutual gave me the opportunity to build business through reaching out and building clientele.

One Degree World required me to lead a small team to input information on over 20,000 hotels throughout the world into their database. I needed to familiarize myself with their unique software and teach others how to input the information as well as having to input it myself.
