Supply Chain Domain Architect - Business Process
CurrentDomain Architects (DA) are accountable for the design of business process solutions utilizing the standard reference architecture set by Enterprise Architecture. DA’s will engage early within projects to lead both the project resource estimates as well as the logical design that guides the project to a working and sustainable solution. DA's assist in determining training and education plans needed to support and effectively utilize the applications within the domain. DA's build relationships with selected vendors for the external applications chosen and understand the associated road maps that translate direction as to the impact solutions may have upon the process. DA’s are expected to understand and articulate the technology enablement solutions within their domain. This means…• They understand all domain applications, the purpose, where each are in their lifecycle, future direction and plans. • They understand the end-to-end business process of their domain.• They are knowledgeable of all applications within the scope of their domain.• They work closely with technology experts when in-depth technical knowledge/expertise is needed.• Evaluate application fit, risk and impact to the organization.• Identify opportunities for application rationalization, including application consolidation, replacement or elimination.The Domain Architect is required to have a comprehensive understanding of the overall Information Services relationship for multi-functional areas. The DA is responsible to understand functional area business strategy, objectives and constraints and work in parallel with with functional leadership to develop process road maps that lead to key initiatives. The DA performs area analysis and develops information services strategies that fit between enterprise standards and business function needs.
