Daniel is the Managing Partner of Duran Meetings & Events, a consulting firm based in Phoenix, Arizona. Daniel has worked in events and non-profit management for nearly 20 years. He started his career working in volunteering coordinating and training for a local non-profit, which ultimately led him to conference planning for a national youth organization. During these years, he also freelanced in social events and wedding planning. Later, Daniel accepted a position with Hyatt Hotels in catering and conference services. He thoroughly enjoyed his time working on the venue side, however, was missing the mission-centered and community focused work that the non-profit sector provided. He formed his company and went on to serve organizations like the Arizona Charter Schools Association, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona Chamber Foundation, A for Arizona, the Arizona Builders Alliance, Great Leaders Strong Schools, Valley Leadership and more. Daniel’s work expanded nationally, not only working with other state based organizations, but groups that serve the country as a whole through their campaign and public awareness events. DME’s number one goal is to make sure clients are accomplishing their mission through their events, staying as profitable as possible, and keeping hospitality at the center of their work. Daniel resides in midtown Phoenix with his husband and daughter.
