Responsible for accountability, maintenance, and combat readiness of 36 soldiers Mechanized Rifle Platoon Leader for a 36-man rifle platoon capable of worldwide deployment in support of brigade and division operations. Responsible for the health, welfare, morale, discipline, and tactical employment of three maneuver squads and two sections of infantrymen tasked as crew members for four M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles. Develop, implement, and supervise individual and collective training to include squad and platoon battle drills, live fire training exercises, marksmanship, and daily physical training. Maintain accountability and serviceability of over $17 million worth of assigned platoon equipment. Deployed to Iraq for OIF 06-08. Shot in the neck by a sniper in October 2006, and received service-connected medical retirement in April 2007.
