With close to a decade of experience in the smoke & vape industry I have implemented a myriad of strategic solutions to increase profitability, customer experience, and employee retention. My experience as a leader in the company has been pivotal in the success of numerous protégées during my time as General Manager. The continued development of the management team has been one of my primary foci during my tenure, as well as ensuring our employees have every resource they need to succeed in their sales objectives. Monitoring new regulations, both from the state and the federal government, has been incredibly necessary in keeping our products in compliance and our customers safe. Industry trends continue to evolve as the relatively new smoke & vape market continues to grow and thrive. It is of my utmost concern that our stores carry the most popular and quality products that allow the greatest consumer satisfaction while allowing the company to see competent fiscal returns. In my duties as General Manager I have overseen hundreds of interviews for our chain of stores over the years. Selecting qualified candidates for both our sales and management team, and furthermore implementing strategies to retain and train the employees is crucial to a successful organization. Prior to my path in general management I was fortunate to have experienced working in the field of client services for persons with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities. As a case manager for the service provider it was my responsibility to ensure the nonprofit I was employed with held accountable standards of care and safety for the 160+ clients in my caseload across six counties in the state of Texas. During my six year tenure I oversaw multiple state audits with 0 deficiencies, the highest audit score possible for a nonprofit agency overseeing persons with IDD. During my time with the nonprofit I undertook the role of facilitator for the state mandated risk management program named SAMA, by Satori Learning. Keeping the service providers, auxiliary staff, and clients safe was incredibly important in providing quality service to vulnerable communities. With 15+ years of soft skill experience it has been my dream to bring those attributes to the world of Information Technology. In November of 2023 I returned to academia, enrolling in the WGU it is my aspiration to utilize the competency based approach of the university to accelerate my academic development. On November 19th, 2026 I look forward to completing my undergraduate and graduate degrees (BSIT & MSITM) in IT.
