I was part of the shift managing team at the Lymm branch of McDonalds. I was a manager for over 6 years after working my way up from crew member. During my time managing I took on lots of different roles but my main two roles were the scheduling of the staff which at it's peak was 143 people and also I was the training manager for 4 1/2 years. I was in charge of the training roadmap's of all staff at each level and would personalise targets for all staff members. During my time scheduling the staff I had to schedule according to business needs and understand monthly, weekly and hourly trends to optimise restaurant performance during peak and off-peak times. As part of my day to day routine I had to be aware of all health and safety issues to both internal and external customers, security of the building and people, cash management handling thousands to tens of thousands at any time depending on trade, management of people, product and equipment, making effective business decisions including working time directive issues and also meeting specific targets and goals set by both the business and myself during each shift.
