Led workplace health programme using public Health funding for Horsham District Council working with local small and medium size organisations (public, private and not for profit) to improve the health of their workforce. Helping develop commutation strategies for employers to use across their organisations. Instrumental in developing bespoke workplace wellbeing strategies and local action plans to increase staff morale and improve health. Carried out stress audits, staff workshops and delivered board level report/recommendations.Developed, marketed and managed local award scheme mentoring local employers to achieve the Horsham Healthy Workplace Award. Took 7 companies to Gold level and 26 to Achievement level.Project ended when Public health funding ended 🥲

South East

Motivating small and medium enterprises to improve their employee's health and wellbeing by addressing physical and mental health issues. Working with public sector larger employer carried out HSE/CIPD stress audits, ran staff workshops/manager interviews, carrying out one to one health checks with staff and devising workplace wellbeing strategies. Using my HAY/UNISON training also carried out job evaluation interviews for professional staff and managers and was successful in securing pay increases.

Westminster

One of three directors responsible to the ED for the Communications and Business Futures Team and for running Board. Responsible for managing £5.2m budget. (LG Regulation was a local central body responsible for advising over 400 local authorities)Carried out business and communications reviews across 5 sister companies - leading to £82m outsourced shared services contract. Member of resulting Contract Management Board. Whilst running Board of Directors set up new Audit Committee to improve corporate governance. Led LACORS Pay Harmonisation Project, developing all the staff communications.Responsible for both the internal ‘running of the business’ including Finance, Shared Services contract management (£80m) and Corporate Governance and managing external facing communications e.g. PR, media campaigns, website, e-bulletins, events programme and stakeholder engagement strategy.

Drove improvements for 16 different local council services giving credible/evidenced/successful challenge at Senior Officer and Councillor level to drive improvements in local services including Environmental Health, Planning, Libraries, Corporate Governance, ICT, Planning and Waste.

Richmond Surrey

Senior manager leading the education and enforcement programme to ensure consumers were protected across the borough by ensuring adequate regulation/education of businesses. Developed new initiative to improve council working with local businesses by improving their access to regulation advice.
