I am an experienced designer maker I have worked in designing, creating, fitting an array of bespoke and tailor made furniture pieces, ranging from personalised home projects such as steps, kitchens, rooms… to commercial commission such as bars, cinema fittings etc. Over the last 9 years I have amassed substantial experience across all areas of designing and making with skills including machining, assembly, finishing and installation, spraying etc etc. Often taking a lead in delivering a range of projects, working with customers and other providers to over come obstacles and exceed expectations whilst meeting agreed deadlines. The majority of my experience comes from my work with 3rd edition where I was provided the opportunity to expand my skill set and build my portfolio, working alone, collaboratively with the team and close with the business manager to help deliver furniture excellence/high quality pieces.My passion for designing and creating things started when I was young and through my studies I nurtured my ability and took it further to focus on it professionally by studying furniture design at Plymouth university, where I created and showcased a number of pieces and commissions as part of my course. Once I completed my BA degree I took the opportunity to pursue some of my other passions before setting into the workplace and beginning my career. These activities taught me leadership, responsibility and gave me a range of experiences I continue to treasure and learn from today. These include (include the snowboarding rep season and Olympics season). I am now in a position where I’m looking for my career to take the next step and bring my skill sets, experience and expertise to a new challenge within the design and making field I am passionate about.
