I have worked in the Animal Care industry since I was 16. I have worked training rescue dogs, before becoming a veterinary care assistant. I have taught a range of students, from level 1 to level 5 in Animal Care and tailor each of my lessons to differentiate for each group. Whilst I was at the rescue centre, I was asked to become the Kennel Manager for a 4 month period whilst the trustees carried out a restructure of the staff. This made me realise my strengths in my knowledge, management skills and ability to adapt at the final second, which is very important in what ever job role I undertake. In my teaching practice, I have received consistent observation grades of 2 with growing elements of outstanding.
