I've always loved aviation and aerospace. That's why I feel privileged to have spent over two decades (and counting) in my chosen industry. I think I've picked up a few skills along the way; all the trade skills of aircraft maintenance engineering in Avionics plus some formal and OTJ training in sheet metal fabrication and aircraft structures. Deep Systems Engineering collaboration on ambitious space-based projects. Self-employment and being a Company Director. Civil aircraft modification design and airworthiness certification. Managing teams of up to 17, negotiating contracts, recruiting staff, managing and planning assets. Maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, risk assessment, compliance, procurement, contract management, finance...I remain interested in all things Aerospace and Engineering. More than anything, I love seeing the application of innovation, skill, knowledge and precision to solve a problem or create a capability. With that background, I'm super excited in 2021 to be embarking on my most ambitious project yet: leading the development and integration of a stratospheric platform that will provide never before seen capability and utility at a commercially realistic price point.
