I am testing the space object detection capabilities of an Adelaide-based VHF wind profiling radar, and plan to use Australia’s existing wind profiler network to provide a cheap, robust and automated SSA solution.

Developing a regional model of the Ionosphere: Using historical foF2 data and statistical analysis to develop monthly median values of foF2 in the oceanic region. This develops my statistical skills and data interpretation ability. This research is done with collaboration between the DST Group and the University of Adelaide.

During the summer project, I used data taken from the Parkes and VLA telescope's to mind the mass of two galaxies. Data reduction was done in CASA, then mass calculations where done using a python script. Finally the results section was written and a leter may be published shortly.

During my six week project, I did background research on neutrino sources and particle physics. I extended a master thesis, to more control and improve the user interface of the code. It presented significantly more data in an extremely compact, concise and readable format.
