Over the past 2 and a half years I have taught over one thousand classes online for multiple companies. These involve teaching on my computer and phone, for students of all ages, abilities and multiple nationalities. My responsibilities include:  Preparing students for English tests. Many of my pupils have continued onto higher levels and have passed English proficiency tests, such as the IELTS.  Communicating effectively with students of varying levels of English ability, as well as forming effective partnerships with teaching assistants and other professionals working at the schools. Giving trial lessons to prospective students, which has led to dozens of students signing up with the companies. At Whales English, I have also been tasked with evaluating teacher’s lessons. I watch a recording of the lesson, give in-depth personal feedback following the school’s criteria and write some strengths and suggestions for improvement, which are then emailed to the teachers. • Interned for three weeks at GQ magazine, assisting the Features writers in a diverse range of tasks including; researching for articles, transcribing interviews and writing the contributors’ entries • During this time, I pitched and wrote articles for the website and magazine across a number of sections. I also attended press screenings and interviewed celebrities, including Ian Wright, for the website.

Uni 2 Know is a new magazine for students in Nottingham. I oversee the production process from planning to printing. I generate article ideas, manage the writers, edit all written work and come up with the content, as well as help plan photo shoots and assist the design team. I also carry out reviews and interviews, as well as writing on a range of subjects, covering Music, Film, Video Games, Politics and Student Issues

I was appointed news editor for the University of Nottingham magazine where I worked in a team to put together the news segment for the six issues of the magazine for that year. This meant that I was responsible for the news and comment sections of the website, editing and uploading articles weekly.
