• Led 65 personnel; 10 civilians, 55 military.• Responsible for overall vehicle fleet management of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.• Authorized repairs to all vehicles and/or delegates approval authority to lower level management.• Developed & submitted $810K annual budget; ensured expenditures throughout year did not exceed allocations.• Oversaw vehicle leasing from General Services Administration (GSA).• Coordinated w/higher headquarters on vehicle buy requirements across Future Years Defense Plan (FYDP).• Led weekly production meetings; determined most economical means of placing vehicular assets back in service.• Prepared and briefed commanders at squadron, group & wing levels on vehicle related issues.• Ensured On-the-Job training was complete; analyzed training statues, planned for and submitted formal training requests.• Authorized individuals to purchase parts, tools & equipment utilizing Government Purchase Card (GPC).• Developed Operating Instructions (OIs), regular work, stand-by and recall schedules; ensured implementation.• Communicated regularly, both written and orally with customers, supervisors & co-workers.• Promoted safe work environment by adhering to all applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.• Managed vehicle War Reserve Materiel (WRM) fleet.• Directed 16 National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) vehicle recalls; coordinated requirements to meet short-notice ops, saved $22.5K leasing funds• Managed 650+ vehicle fleet valued at $48.5M; support 94 F-15E fighters and 16 KC-135R tanker aircraft, sustained two flying wings.• Oversaw flawless processing of over 3K repair work orders; averaged 93.5% mission capable (MC) rate, recognized “Excellent” during 2012 Logistics Compliance Assessment Program (LCAP) Inspection• Deployed to Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait; oversaw management of 900+ vehicle $123M fleet; ensured essential equip available for Afghanistan retrograde ops, over 2.5K shipments processed
