I started my insurance career back in January 2000 at Prudential, where I was initially employed as a telesales consultant. I repeatedly exceeded my targets and was rewarded with a promotion to senior telesales consultant, with responsibility for managing and coaching a team of five. I left Prudential in May 2002 to take up the position of renewals manager at Vasek. I was responsible for managing a team of seven. It was a pleasure managing my team. Despite handling a large volume of renewals every month, we never missed our targets. After three years at Vasek, I moved to CP Walker & Son in May 2005 who had recently launched a delegated authority scheme for commercial and residential let property business. I underwrite commercial and residential policies on behalf of scheme underwriters Zurich, AXA, Towergate & LV. Despite regular audits I remain in employment so I must be doing something right. I'm now referred to as "Lead Underwriter" on Property Protector literature. I've taken this development as a positive.
