I am a recent graduate of the University of Toledo who is looking for an entry level position within the environmental science field. I have experience working in a limnology lab for the University of Toledo, analyzing algal concentrations in water samples and maintaining general lab upkeep. I also have general knowledge in a variety of other specializations within the Environmental Science field, such as Conservation Biology, Botany, and Herpetology, among others.   Research Assistant - Lake Erie Center

  I assisted in collecting and preserving biweekly water samples from multiple locations on western Lake Erie with a research team as part of a long-term project studying microcystin concentrations. I additionally collected daily samples from Lake Erie across from the Lake Erie Center as part of a short-term project. For both of these projects, I was tasked with running algal samples in the lab through multiple specialized devices (Turner Designs Fluorometer, bbe-Moldaenke Fluoroprobe, bbe-Moldaenke PhycoLabAnalyzer, AquaRealTime Algaetracker), creating multiple catalogs of microcystin concentrations throughout the algal bloom season. The results of the microcystin data sets were then used to calibrate all the devices to show the same results.
