General Manager - Cummins New Zealand- Achieve or exceed targets for all operations within New Zealand with a primary focus on measures relating to profitability growth, safety performance, customer relationship / satisfaction, employee engagement / development & community initiatives- Manage P&L performance as well as beyond the P&L finance functions- Develop, lead & motivate managers; set goals in training and development, performance and career planning whilst fostering a high performance team culture- Through managers, implement operating policies & procedures across multiple functional areas including customer service, health, safety, environment, finance, quality control, purchasing, materials management and human resources

Manage a high performance team of Sales Executives and supporting staff who are responsible for the direct sale of Cummins Capital equipment within the Agricultural, Automotive, Construction, Marine, Mining, Oil and Gas, Rail and Defence market segments. Personal areas of responsibility include achieving sales targets, major account management, financial forecasting, inventory management, setting budgets, managing expenses and strategic team development.

Covering metropolitan Melbourne and Eastern Victoria. Key areas of responsibility included achieving sales targets, driving the Capital Equipment sales plan, capturing business opportunities and protecting gross margin. Success was achieved by developing key business relationships, displaying competencies in sales planning, financial analysis, commercial presentation / negotiation skills and the ability to deal persuasively across all levels of an organisation.

With territory coverage that included Australia & New Zealand and areas of responsibility that were centred around the sale of electronic diesel engine control interfaces & relating product.Key achievements included the development of a marketing plan that was the key component in increasing year on year sales and building brand preference. Additional areas of responsibility included the management of key OEM accounts where profitable business relationships, which remain with the organisation today, were developed.
