• Management of ANSTO’s ITS project, business improvement implementations and the project management support function within Support Services, to ensure that projects are delivered to ANSTO standards and regulatory requirements;• Lead resolution of infrastructure problems in order to ensure availability to end users;• Lead effort in providing capacity planning, contingency planning and disaster recovery in order to ensure availability to end users;• Design and facilitate implementation of IT technology strategic direction for ANSTO;• Management of all IT capital allocation, following correct governance guidelines;• Input and implementation of ANSTO’s approved project methodology across all IT projects.• Communicating change;• Assist in the management and provision of ANSTO leadership of key corporate projects and enhancement projects, including management of consultants and or service providers utilised to deliver such projects;• Provide life-cycle leadership of projects, from requirements through tenders and evaluation to delivery-implementation. Additionally manage the development and implementation of change management activities to support the successful implementation of upgrade and enhancement projects, including client acceptance;• Participate in project steering committees as required, in accordance with the specific project governance strategy;• Management of requirements for Computer Validation;

• Manage and support customer relations on behalf of the ITS group to all site wide customers, divisions and tenants.• Develop to maturity a Scientific Computing Strategy on behalf of ITS and working within working groups with a lead scientist to collaborate all research communities within ANSTO covering the areas of Storage, Compute\​HPC, Web Enablement and Published Data Sets.• Develop and present proposals and business cases that underlie or support requests and recommendations relating to the customer management, vendor management and IT Architecture aspects of the role.• Deliver projects as required from the ITS Business Plan as well as short term, ad hoc projects as agreed.• Manage the ANSTO IT Architecture, and as part of this to, in combination with the customer management aspect of the role, propose and manage IT technology consolidation projects across ANSTO.• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to facilitate ITS’ access to vendor’s technology solutions, strategies and plans• Liaise with vendors and ANSTO Procurement in relation to efficient and economical support arrangements and contracts
