I have been involved in 10 projects and manage supply chains in Europe and Asia. I have recently been a product planning lead on a project that incorporates being first point of contact for all product planning related activities with a design team based in Asia. This has allowed me to gain a new perspective on managing several activities across various departments internally and externally and how to effectively communicate to achieve a shared goal under challenging circumstances. My responsibility is to ensure a safe working environment and to ensure realistic work schedules are produced to maintain and improve performance within the department and also to ensure the staff are fully engaged and committed to achieve the performance targets.My key responsibilities include;- Planning production using the SAP production software- Ensuring all work completed and complying to ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality standards.- Monitoring and reporting budget, delivery and performance figures to senior management.- Give daily briefings on production plan to staff.- Maintaining stock levels through the use of MRP and T-card systems.- Using lean tools and techniques to introduce lean manufacturing methods.- Maintaining the health and safety standard of the workshop.- Introducing new products into the department and to create cost savings where applicable Show less
