Daniel Glaser is the Founder and Principal of LightStanza. He received his BS in Computer Science from Columbia University, MEng Computer Science from Cornell, and MS Arch from and Interdisciplinary PhD from Berkeley. Dr. Glaser uses his 15 years of experience in information technology, daylighting, and environmental research to lead the R+D efforts of LightStanza. He has twice been invited to write articles for the leading journal Building and Environment. He has spoken at Rocky Mountain Green, the DOE/LBL Radiance Workshop, and Lightfair International, where he rode a fold-up bike to conferences and meetings all over the Vegas strip. Glaser has also published in top-tier human-centered technology venues including the ACM Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI), ACM Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), IEEE Information Visualization (InfoVis), and Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL). Glaser has worked as a daylight consultant on a variety of educational, commercial, and residential projects. He is an ethically motivated vegetarian, and doesn't own a car because he has to save all his money to support his summer watermelon habit.
