Designed and programmed several complex firmware products for IBM STG I/O development. Provided library support for builds and product ship to through Production support. Received a US patent for partnering one networking design project. Responsibilities included:· Planned, developed & programmed interfaces for z/System IO adapter cards. Including Networking and Crypto I/O cards.· Co-wrote the support facilities program for the Networking IO cards. This allowed customers to configure the networking cards from, z/OS, z/VM and VSE operation systems· Designed and wrote diagnostic code for networking adapters.· Worked with a development team to co-write a Networking packet trace system for our networking I/O cards.· Responsible to managed library support system for all IO development code. · Facilitated meetings to ensure that all department members maintained release schedules, were informed of field problems and current project status.· Developed TCP/IP applications to communicate and manage products. · Developed Perl scripts to provide test automation of IO cards on the IBM z10 IO subsystem.· Created automated test and reporting system to track projects and cost. · Worked on a Development team that created a maintenance system to maintain a multitasking multiprocessor system with triple redundancy in order to prevent any down time.· Lead developer who designed and wrote code to run and control complex memory card testers.
