Poverty nourishes creativity. In 2016 I founded Arborbotics, a robotics group at my high school. Although financially lacking, I built a robot out of scraps that did the job it was supposed to do, and did it surprisingly well. As my creativity was nourished throughout the years, building better robots with more capital, I still think back to that robot as a testament to possibility.During my later years of high school, I attended GDG Visalia, where I learned many valuable skills in computer vision, budgeted engineering and the beauty of software development. Furthermore, I attended a trip to Google, which reinforced my pathway, that the combination of engineering, software, and now business skills is the right path.Now, I am studying Robotics Engineering at UCSC. During my time, I have become the Business Team Lead, as well as work daily with engineers, designing and troubleshooting daily with engineers whilst ensuring appropriate finances for innovation. Currently I am working on a fully modular robot to act as a test bench for new technologies throughout the years as my baby project, but have 4 other projects at slugbotics.comAlthough I am a very passionate student, I am currently looking for employment opportunities to allow me to cope with the insane housing prices in the Santa Cruz county.
