Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Primary responsibilities included: Facilitated technical and operational support managing computer hardware and software for district managers on a national level swiftly addressing issues to ensure maximum operational efficiency. Managed the day to day operations and data exchange processes between USA TODAY and various delivery partners. Collaborated with Gannett IT departments nationwide on the transition from their Genesys system to USA TODAY’s Champion system. Provided technical support and assistance to Gannett IT departments and USA TODAY markets nationwide. Continued as an active member of the National Crystal Reporting team maintaining our library of crystal reports, improved business processes, ensured that standard practices and procedures in the areas of system security, data integrity, backup and licensing were followed.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Primary responsibilities included: Hardware and software support and training for offices in TX, OK, AR, LA, GA and FL. Negotiate, setup and managed and improved processes and reporting needs for delivery partnerships with Dallas Morning News, Daily Oklahoman, Houston Chronicle Austin American Statesman, and San Antonio Express. Continued with Crystal Development, improved business processes through the use of technology and reporting, ensured that standard practices and procedures in the areas of system security, data integrity, backup and licensing were followed. Worked with Guy Rothardt to Streamline and improve many of the business practices in the Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana/Arkansas region. Continued assisting users and Systems Analysts from other regions on a variety of projects and problems.

Orlando, Florida Area

Primary responsibilities included: PC hardware and software support for the offices in the Florida USA TODAY market. Managed the markets inventory and maintenance of Palmtops, provided Crystal Development, training staff on hardware and software, improved business processes through the use of technology and reporting, and ensured that standard practices and procedures in the areas of system security, data integrity, backup and licensing were followed. Negotiated, setup, maintained, and improved processes for multiple data exchange partnerships for the Florida Market including: The Citrus Chronicle, Daytona Beach News Journal, Florida Times Union, Orlando Sentinel, St Augustine Record and Tampa Tribune. Automated and streamlined several processes in the Florida Market, such as the Masthead Audits and the data exchange process between system and the systems of some of our delivery partners. Assisted and supported users and Systems Analysts from other markets on a variety of projects and problems.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Primary responsibilities included: creating custom reports for the Regional Marketing and Account Managers utilizing Crystal Reports and Excel, ordered and maintained the custom label and hotel bag inventories, prepared and created presentations and documents, assisted the Market Systems Analyst/Assistant Controller with pc upgrade, installs, maintenance, software support, installations, training, coordinated and trained on the use of Palm Pilots, monitored registration cards per account guidelines and requirements, and developed the Dallas Market web page.
