Daniel is a Portfolio Manager in Global Equities for the Florida State Board of Administration (FSBA), the constitutional organization charged with overseeing public invested assets for the State of Florida and local governments. The FSBA has over $190 Billion in assets under management, including the Florida Retirement System (FRS) Trust Fund, one of the largest public pension funds in the nation. The Global Equities asset class has a current allocation of just over 50% of the overall fund, with assets ranging from $85 to $100 Billion typically. Investments are diversified over a variety of equity mandates, including internally and externally managed accounts, both active and passive. Externally managed accounts are spread over a highly diversified set of investment firms and strategies, targeting specific markets including domestic, international, emerging, and frontier.Daniel provides direct oversight over active ex-U.S. Small Cap investments, comprising a diversified portfolio of 9 accounts totaling over $3 Billion in AUM.Prior oversight over FX Alpha program, its final iteration consisting of 3 externally managed portfolios with over $3 Billion in notional exposure, spanning G10 and Emerging Market currencies. Prior direct oversight of US Small Cap Core investments, consisting of 1 fundamental and 3 quant portfolios. Previously responsible for supporting public equities returns & data consolidation, risk software continuity, and all manner of regular reporting.
