As a research technician, I am responsible for conducting and carrying out various biochemistry experiments which involve techniques in RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, Real-time PCR, cell culture, Western Blotting, as well as immunostaining for flow cytometry and multiple assays some of which include GSH/GSSG, ELISA, TBARS and Bradford assay. Additionally, I am well trained to collect animal samples such as blood, bone marrow and lungs.

Worked as a Resident Assistant in both fall and spring semesters of the academic year 2016-2017. As a resident assistant we were constantly in direct contact with students in specific halls. Our main responsibility is to act as facilitators for the residence life community and to enhance the social, educational, intellectual, and cultural development of each individual. Worked as a student researcher taking part in research regarding the interaction of protein molecules with Hoffmeister salts. Used techniques such Vapor pressure osmometry, dilution, mass spectrometry and Excel to draw out graphs and conclusions of our data.

Worked as a summer intern in Dr. Matthew Nystoriak's lab learning about Molecular Cardiology focusing primarily on matters regarding coronary arteries. Additionally, designed my own project where the focus was to find out the specific molecular mechanisms and proteins responsible for the control of coronary artery blood flow. This was done by utilizing techniques such as branched DNA-FISH and Proximity Ligation assays.

Worked as a summer researcher in Dr. Mark H. Kaplan’s Immunology and Microbiology lab, performing several experiments with T-helper 9 cells, mainly focusing on the transcriptional signature of TH9 cells. Most experiments performed included isolation of CD4 positive T cells, RT-PCR, genotyping and flow cytometry.
