Research scientist at the Magnetic Resonance Physics and Instrumentation Group at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging.Currently I work on developing and optimizing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques. The major focus is to understand how blood flow dynamics in the human brain influence the changes observed in MRI signals.This is accomplished through data acquisition, preprocessing, and analysis of over 100 high-resolution MRI scans, ultimately extracting quantifiable data. This has provided insights into how blood flow changes in the human cortex, and to probe the limits of what we call the "biological temporal resolution": how fast can the vasculature respond to physiological and cognitive challenges.Furthermore, I'm involved in the development of advanced MRI techniques that significantly increase the speed of blood flow imaging. I have successfully developed a method for imaging blood flow within fractions of a second, pushing beyond conventional imaging resolutions by almost an order of magnitude.

Visiting Scientist at the Lewis Lab for imaging brain dynamics.I conduct a clinical experiment to investigate neurovascular correlates of long COVID. Beyond my own research, I support and co-supervise multiple graduate students in all aspects of their imaging research projects.

Marie-Curie early career research fellow in an industrial doctorate program between the Radboud University, Siemens Healthcare and the Rotterdam School of Management.The emphasis of my PhD was developing MR pulse sequences for high temporal resolution and multi-contrast functional MRI of the human brain. My dissertation compared the sensitivity and specificity of different image acquisition techniques, and explored analysis methods that can better delineate functional connectivity networks exploiting the high temporal resolution of the acquisition sequences I developed.

Focus on implementing academic ideas developed at the Donders Institute into pre-product release packages for multi-center research use within the Siemens customer base. I implemented an MR imaging sequence for high temporal resolution multi-contrast imaging useful for imaging brain physiology that was distributed to multiple customers across Europe. I also implemented machine learning and visualization tools for customers with access to Siemens clinical research prototype environment.
