Manage staff of systems analysts, business intelligence specialists, data modelers, testing resources and developers in the analysis, design, implementation and support of various, corporate-wide system projects including California Healthy Families SCHIP (State Children’s Health Insurance Program), Iowa Hawk-i SCHIP, Kansas Health Wave SCHIP, Texas SCHIP, California Health Care Options Enrollment Broker, and corporate “Productization” efforts including Enrollment Broker and SCHIP/Uninsured product offerings.

Direct a staff of between 5 and 9 systems analysts, business intelligence specialists, data modelers and testing resources in the analysis, design, implementation and support of various, corporate-wide system projects including Texas SCHIP (State Children’s Health Insurance Program), California Healthy Families SCHIP, California Health Care Options Enrollment Broker, and corporate “Productization” efforts including Enrollment Broker and SCHIP/Uninsured product offerings. Played a major role in the design, development and implementation the Oracle Forms based Texas CHIP system as well as a continued role in supporting the project’s operational reporting requirements.

Lead and provided direction to a staff of over 25 which included managers, systems analysts, developers, administrators, and technical support resources in the day-to-day systems operations of the Healthy Families Program (California’s SCHIP program). Responsibilities included maintenance and enhancement of the Oracle Forms based system used to manage the SCHIP program, active participation in project management team, forecasting, budgeting and support of operations staff.

Managed a team of developers that supported various Health Systems projects that performed Children's Health Insurance Program and Medicaid Enrollment Broker administrative services functions.

Analyzed, designed, coded, implemented and maintained various applications for MAXIMUS, Inc. including SCHIP Operations projects such as Iowa Hawk-I, Michigan MIChild, and New Jersey Family Care; Medicaid Enrollment Broker Operations Systems such as New Jersey HBM, New York Choice, Michigan Enrolls, Montana, Virginia and California Health Care Options; and other various Operation’s projects utilizing MAXSTAR™ (a proprietary software written in C and executed via UNIX Shell Scripts).

Analyzed, designed, coded, implemented and maintained enrollment system software for the Health Care Options Enrollment Broker program using MAXSTAR™. Also helped to maintain and administrate the LAN (Novell 4.10), PC hardware and software (Windows 95 & 3.11), as well as two HP 9000 Series UNIX Machines.

Analyzed, designed, coded, and implemented business software systems including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Order Processing, Fixed Assets, Lumber and Tag Inventory, Physical Inventory, Travel and Expense, Sales Reporting, Financials, and Budgeting for the wood and paper manufacturing company. Developed and implemented new MIS concepts, plans and solutions for the entire organization. Other Responsibilities included System and Network Administration, Database Administration, documentation and training, technical and user support, project management, and hardware and software support.

Instructed students in business computer skills including a variety of common business software packages such as DisplayWrite 4, Word Perfect, Lotus 1-2-3, and dBase. In addition, taught keyboard typing and keypad operation skills. Redesigned several course curriculums and tests and attended creative teaching seminars. Also designed, coded and implemented a student attendance system and a grade book system for use by the instructors and clerical staff using the Progress 4GL programming language.

Analyzed, designed, coded, and implemented several business software systems for a variety of organizations using the Progress 4GL programming language. The different types of businesses and systems implemented included construction (job tracking and accounting system), roofing (job tracking and costing system), industrial electronics (job tracking system), and marina management (general accounting/slip management system).

Coded and implemented modifications and new features to an existing, very complex, Hospital Pharmacy Software System written in PICK Info-Basic. Provided technical user support for the system, designed and coded unique output requests, and performed general maintenance programming.
