Daniel Grady has a Marine Transportation degree with a minor in Maritime Security. He has obtained his second officer's unlimited tonnage credential, master of towing and Radioman Operator's license, along with special endorsements and certifications in the fields of counter terrorism, radiological, biological, and chemical prevention, CSO, VSO certifications (Company Security Officer, Vessel Security Officer.) Daniel Grady joined the SUNY Maritime college community in 2009. This was his first experience on an ocean going vessel, and quickly learned his way around. He served three cruises on the Empire State VI, and traveled to eight countries by the age of 21. He learned the cultures and learned how other countries handle business. He learned how to communicate efficiently with them and gave insight on how our own country does business. In 2009, Daniel Grady graduated high school from John S. Burke in Goshen New York, and BOCES technical trade school. He studied Police Science, collaborating with FBI officers, the NYPD, retired CIA, and local law enforcement. He finished fourth in a class of 78 students who spent a month solving a simulated crime scene.
