I am currently an Engineering Apprentice at LNER, focussing on European Train Control System (ETCS) technologies, while pursuing a BEng(Hons) in Rail and Rail Systems Engineering at London South Bank University. My apprenticeship offers me the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various engineering teams within LNER, while building a strong academic foundation in rail engineering and systems.Throughout internal and external placements, I work on a wide range of projects, enhancing my understanding of rail operations and maintenance, with a particular focus on the future of ETCS implementation. My ambition is to play a key role in advancing ETCS, contributing to the evolution of safer, more efficient rail networks in the UK.I’m passionate about the future of rail, and my goal is to combine practical experience with cutting-edge technology to drive innovation in rail systems engineering.
