The result was a bid I was proud of and confident about submitting – I knew we had given it our best shot – and we were indeed NPO-funded. Daniel also undertook an evaluation of the Bronte Bicentennial Festival, during which he and I spent a useful (and really enjoyable) afternoon on a business planning model methodology to build on the strengths we had gained over the past four years and pave the way for our next five-year plan and NPO application. (Unfortunately this valuable work was subsumed by the Covid wave.) Working with Daniel is a delight. He is incisive, thorough, thoughtful, and utterly professional. He wears his considerable knowledge lightly while retaining authority, and he is generous with it. He’s the perfect critical friend.
