Architect in the Architectural Division of the Department of Public Works; supervising the work of consultants and contractors in the design, construction, alteration and repair of city buildings. Individual projects include schools, police and fire facilities, municipal offices and senior centers. Energy projects include the development of an electrical micro-grid and retro-commissioning projects in Hartford schools. Supervising the policy work of the Hartford Clean Energy Task Force, and a data project to benchmark and track the City's energy consumption.

New Haven, Ct

Project Manager in a $1.4 billion, 15-year program to rebuild 43 schools in the New Haven Public School District. Individual projects include conversion of neighborhood elementary schools into K-8 facilities, renovation and expansion of two comprehensive high schools, and construction of new inter-district magnet schools, a new athletic field house and a new central kitchen facility.

Farmington, Ct

Design and construction administration on a Senior Citizen's Center in Meriden, Connecticut, facility improvements to a middle school in West Hartford, Connecticut, and a new elementary school in Bethany, Connecticut.

Poughkeepsie, Ny And Boston, Ma

Performed architectural design, contract documents and cost estimating on industrial projects, including a new Federal printing facility (metric) in Kansas City, Missouri and renovations to an IBM manufacturing and test facility in Poughkeepsie, New York. (Temporary assignments through National Engineering Service Corporation, Portsmouth NH.)

Responsible for team coordination on a variety of projects, with emphasis on pre-design and early design work, including master planning, feasibility studies and architectural programming. I also performed design coordination, construction administration and specification writing on projects for higher education, business and industry. I had a key role on the master plan for Eastern Connecticut State University, and on the design of the J. Eugene Smith Library at ECSU. Clients include the State of Connecticut, Aetna Life and Casualty, the United States Postal Service, Northeast Utilities and Pratt and Whitney Aircraft.

Farmington, Ct

Responsible for the design of new office projects and improvements to existing buildings. Performed a key role on four corporate master planning projects. Clients included the Travelers Insurance Company, Aetna Life and Casualty, CIGNA Corporation, Northeast Utilities, Heublein and Hartford National Bank. Developed and implemented computer applications for architectural programming, space planning and forecasting in the age before PC's and "canned" software.
