This included complete Technical Design and co-ordination of technical resources (7) for the monitoring and management of 157 ESX hosts, 2000 Virtual Machines, 6 storage controllers and 5 storage switches. • Migrated 67 Windows and Linux Servers in to Interactive’s IaaS platform using a vDedicated model. Nsw Service Delivery Engineer
Responsible for the day-to-day or Business As Usual (BAU) operations within Interactive’s Cloud and Managed Services environment. This involved face to face communication with current customers to better understand how Interactive could work more efficiently with their IT resources. Working my way to a trusted evangelist and assisted in product development of our midrange managed services offerings.Key achievements:• Increased Managed Services revenue by $432K by initially bringing on 2 new customers.• Introduced value-add items such as Monthly Health Check Reports to current customers.• Executed a Disaster Recovery by working for 24 hours around the clock to restore a major building construction company’s ERP environment without any documented or contracted solution. This resulted in a personal email from the Managing Director of Interactive and the CTO of the construction company.• Design and document by leading a team of engineers in the successful implementation of an education marking system that was used by multi-national marking centres around the world. The solution needed to meet strict security standards and high availability using site-to-site replication. At the conclusion of the project the team was recognised formally via email and conference call, which earned praise from the Director of Cloud and Managed Services and senior managers.• Hit above expectations on all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on a yearly basis.

Starting in the Synergy Plus Limited NSW office with two System i clients, I proactively worked with BDMs and SDLs within the presales cycle. Utilising my proven technical skills when facing current and new clients, project work increased dramatically and managed services clients increased to five System i and System x clients as highlighted below. Key achievements:• Increased Managed Services revenue as primary System Engineer from $5k per month to $22k per month.• Successfully completed a 3 month/547 hour major project as Primary Engineer for migration from Power5 to Power6 systems, which included upgrade to i5OS V6R1M0, change of system name, change of IP addresses and reconfiguration of Mimix HA on three LPARs.• Presented and successfully implemented a “Green” solution for Sony Australia which consolidated 75 servers to 2 BladeCenter H Chassis, multiple HS21XM blades, DS4700 storage and a TS3310 tape library with TSM/BRMS backup solution.• Primary Engineer for a 13 LPAR System i Managed Services client including two production, eight UAT/test and three HA/DR servers. The LPARs are housed on two 8203-E4A and two 8204-E8A servers with fibre attached storage and tape.• Established and Implemented VMware HA solution with two System x3650 servers and DS3200 storage. • Created company wide templates for System i Managed Services health checks for daily/weekly/yearly and “infiltration”.• Acquired management responsibility for 5 IBM Engineers when the current Managed Services Manager took leave pre-merger. This included driving 100% utilisation and man management of staff.
