Founding Editor/Editor-in-Chief of Outboard magazineBacked by the first-class team behind Power & Motoryacht we recognized a growing and underserved class of outboard-powered boat owners. Among the most active boaters on the water today we saw the potential of a media brand that could speak directly to them with a combination of immersive print stories and experiential video. Since launching in November of 2018, Outboard has won numerous awards and has proven just how disruptive a quality-focused team can be. Highlights: –Through an aggressive digital marketing campaign, we grew our audience to an engaged readership of 30,000. –Launched a vibrant website, social channels and video program.–Were profitable from our first issue.

Since coming aboard at Active Interest Media in 2014, I've been fortunate to work with my mentor and Editorial Director Bill Sisson to contribute to the award-winning quarterly Anglers Journal. This experience as a contributor, managing editor and now editor-at-large was the catalyst behind the creation of Outboard magazine. it also gives me the added benefit of chasing a few fish and catching some great stories.
