I have an extensive background in medical care including work as an EMT-Paramedic, Critical Care Certified RN in Medical and Cardiac ICU, Charge Nurse, Long-Term Acute Care, Nurse Manager, Home Health Care, Wound Care / Hyperbaric Specialist, and Internal Medicine Clinic. I have 20 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner working in various areas including family practice and urgent care. I began my career in graduate nursing education by developing a premier FNP / MSN education program in the role of FNP Program Coordinator for LCU. I fully developed the FNP curriculum and successfully guided the program through accreditation. I have continued to advance my career into the role of Director of Graduate Nursing in 2022. I successfully achieved tenure as a full professor in 2022. I developed the curriculum for a Clinical Doctor of Nursing Degree at LCU in 2023. I recently became the medical director for the LCU Campus Health Clinic. I actively lecture, engage in research, and serve as a professor in numerous graduate nursing courses all while still practicing as a nurse practitioner in the urgent care setting.
