While I am best known as a novelist, I have also been building organizations and launching innovative projects for 30 years as board president, executive director, project manager, program administrator, fundraiser, and entrepreneur.I have always pursued a wide range of intellectual, creative, and civic interests, and these experiences provide the basis for my professional skills. In addition to my formal education, I have conducted extensive amateur scholarship in nonprofit organizational management, organizational development, environmental technology and enterprise development, cognitive neuroscience, social psychology, education, and the fine arts. This diverse mix allows me to bring a creative, inter-disciplinary perspective to my work. My strength is to provide the innovation, creative problem-solving, objective analysis of systems dynamics, and spark needed to make programs, projects, and organizations flourish.
