  Dan Hedin is a technical manager in the Office of Space Operations, currently detailed to the Agency Institutional Readiness Project. In this capacity he is supporting the development of greater integration and corporate-style management of the Agency’s institutions. He has 28 years of service to the Agency in a variety of programmatic and institutional roles. He has served as the Deputy Manager for the Space Station Headquarters Office, the Program Integration Office, and the Institutional Assets Management and Investments Offices, all within the Space Operations Directorate. He has also served as the Space Operations CIO and Enterprise Architect. For several years, he was directly responsible for the development of Congressional testimony of the Administrator and Associate Administrator for Space Operations on activities relative to the International Space Station (ISS). He has served as Executive Secretary of two major (Congressionally required) external reviews. He has served in strategic planning roles, and conversely in positions of tactical project implementation and detailed engineering. Other previous leadership positions have included roles in policy development, negotiation and management of Shuttle launch agreements. He has spoken in a variety of internal and external forums, published multiple technical papers, and is a Senior Fellow of the Council for Excellence in Government.
