Working on the Seven Borealis, (biggest combined pipe lay/heavylift vessel in the world with a 5000 t crane). I’m working as a mechanical lay technician, testing, operating and commissioning a 937t top tension J-lay system up to 24-inch pipe diameter and a 600t tension S-lay up to 46-inch pipe diameter I'm part of a team in charge of looking after all the equipment on deck and carrying out planned maintainance and repairs while in production. The mechanical equipment also includes 4 cranes 2, 40tDreggen cranes. 1, 36tHuisman PMOC crane and the Mast crane: capacity main hoist 5,000t; 1,200t heave compensated aux hoist

Our teams work to the highest industry standards to ensure that commissioning is supported by well documented procedures, compliance with local safety legislation and full traceability. Good combustion is vital to maintaining plant efficiency and emissions performance. Doosan Babcock has dedicated combustion engineers who check performance in order to diagnose and correct any problems before they cause other difficulties. The chief role of our combustion engineers is to help plants to operate at optimum efficiency and minimise emissions from the systems in place.
