I worked for Shearings Holidays for over 17 years as part of the in-house design studio, working my self up from Junior Designer to Studio Manager.The Studio was responsible for the entire creative output of Shearings Holidays and many other SLG sub-brands. This was a fast-paced and pressured environment with a highly demanding workload and often very tight deadlines.In my latter roles as Senior Designer and Studio Manager, my duties included:• the continual motivation, mentoring, discipline and development of the team• the day-to-day management of the overall Studio workload, overseeing creative for Shearings, and many other SLG sub-brands such as Bay Hotels, Coast & Country Hotels, Country Living Hotels, Wallace Arnold Travel and SportingBreaks.com• managing business expectations to ensure deadlines were always met• constantly improving the performance and efficiency of the Studio, which included implementing third-party systems and tools where necessary such as Trello, GoProof and Censhare• communicating and liaising with internal departments across the business and external partners• always looking at ways to adapt and evolve the Shearings brand year-on-year incorporating current trends and customer feedbackI was also involved in the design and management of a broad range of creative projects including:• Brochure production• Advertising in the national/regional press and magazines• Direct marketing publications and campaigns• Web design & development• Email creative and digital media campaigns• Brand developmentI also worked with numerous partners across all the SLG brands including:• Hearst UK Magazines, which incorporated Country Living Magazine• Various print houses, plus media, PR and design agencies• Multiple systems and software providers• Wigan Warriors RLFC
