My research focuses on statistical analyses of species abundances and distributions. My teaching coincides with and is often integrated into my research as I teach Ecology, Herpetology, Zoology, and Quantitative Analysis of Vertebrate Populations.

Conte Anadromous Fish Research Laboratory

In collaboration with state and federal agencies, I model climate change effects on brook trout and stream salamanders. We use hierarchical Bayesian models to estimate abundance, occupancy, growth, survival, and recruitment while accounting for imperfect detection probabilities. We are also partitioning model uncertainty to help inform Structured Decision.
