My job role as Business Co-ordinator was a blend of administration, sales and customer service. What my job entailed was to look after customer’s who enquire for finance either through the Perrys website, or ones passed through from one of the many dealerships across England. The job role required me to administer any enquiries we receive as accurately and as efficiently as possible. For successful online applications we contacted the customers to discuss their next steps with our primary objective being finding the customer a suitable vehicle to meet the finance companies’ requirements. If unable to source the customer the vehicle they want we either agreed to follow up on the original contact at an agreed later date, or alternatively hand them over to one of our managers at our dealerships who will then take on the enquiry to help assist the customer. When applications were unsuccessful, we notified the relevant party through the CRM. The aim was to obtain a finance proposal from the customer, if we reach this stage with the customer then the above protocol for finance applications is followed. In between assisting customer’s and their finance enquiries we were required to liaise with colleagues based in the dealerships, and employees from the many finance lenders we worked alongside.

I took up a temporary position so as to not have any gaps in my employment, whilst I searched for the right role to further my career.Day to day tasks included:– Business development cold calling data provided by management on a day to day basis. Revisiting ongoing leads, and previous customers to assist with further sales enquiries.– E-mailing to follow up on calls supplying the information that the customers required, being creative in the wording to encourage them to take up the offer of funded learning. – Creating and updating Excel spreadsheets primarily to keep a log of all ongoing business. – Reporting to supervisors on progress in one to one and team meetings to review figures/strategies and any new information needed to help further the role.– Working towards monthly targets/deadlines

My first office-based role following the completion of my degree, I was entrusted with additional responsibilities as a direct sign that I was a valued employee. Making outbound calls to any existing customers coming to the end of their finance agreements to discuss if they knew of the incoming end date and to help the customer determine how they would like to proceed with their current vehicle. Whilst working for 02 customers services I worked on customers’ mobile phone accounts and after further progression small and medium business accounts. This role provided me with a new-found confidence which I have taken with me right up until the position I hold today.
