•Reports to the Director of Engineering.•Responsible for TMJ Implant design per the TMJ Implant Engineering procedure and maintaining the surgeon preference listing.•Responsible for the evaluation of CT scans and models for adequacy, build style, and reference geometry and sends models to surgeons for evaluation and preparation as needed.•Creates wax mock-ups of the proposed implant components and prepares patient design review packages.•Creates manufacturing prints and surgeon design approval schematics.•Performs shipping activities as required.•Performs the laser scanning or tracing of surface geometries of mandibular components, for generating the associated post-processed files suitable for use in CNC tool path generation, and creating the CNC machine code used to mill surface profile surfaces.•Performes the computer-aided shape inversion of the digitally traced surfaces.•Responsible for creating overlay templates and overlay template drawings per the requirements of Quality.•Performs the final Functional Evaluation activities of all associated implant components and recommends screw lengths for each screw hole position.•Monitors the screw level inventory of loaner instrument sets at the customer's locations.•Creates or revises standard part drawings in response to change order.
