Always do lockout/tagout method and use proper PPE. Journeyman electrician doing facilities for Union Pacific railyard. I am assigned work orders pertaining to electrical problems and other trades when needed. I ran power circuits and emt pipe for an hvac unit. Use correct wire sizing according to amps.. Use the code book when needed. Run and bend emt pipe for lighting and receptacles. Used mc cable sealtight runways. Troubleshoot contactors and photocells. Replace bad ballasts and T8,T5,T12 lamps. demo bad lighting fixtures and add new. Preventive maintenance on standby generators. During power outages due to thunderstorms i am called out to service the customer in needs wanted..I make sure standby generators came on and if not,start them. Change out bad exhaust motors. Troubleshoot motors in the field. Change out high lights with a scissor lift. Do outside lighting wallpacks. Use iphone to perform my workorders such as cost of material and completion notes. On the jobs requiring other contractors i oversee them for safety and knowledge. I also help with the other trades when needed such as plumbing.. Drain clean. Unclog drains with plumbing snake Fix leaks. replace bad flush valves and comodes. Also do locksmith work such as replace faulty doorknobs,dead bolts,keyed locks and bad door replacement Door hinges. Also do carpentry using electrical saw and measurements. Also help with painting brush and roll. paint speed bumps,poles,signs,steps and anything needing paint. Also do trash pickup and dispose of it properly. Use a cart to drive to each building needing work orders fulfilled.
